Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Eurasian and European Affairs Eric Rubin is in Baku to discuss the prospects of US-Azerbaijani relations in Baku, the U.S. Embassy in Azerbaijan told Trend on Saturday.
The embassy also said that Rubin is doing a couple of external meetings primarily with the leadership of the country.
The Deputy Assistant Secretary's visit includes meetings with Azerbaijani officials.
Rubin arrived in Baku on Friday night.
