The "Georgian Dream" coalition proposed Mamuka Nikolaishvili for the post of Georgian energy minister in the new government composition. Mamuka Nikolaishvili confirmed the information to the journalists.
At present, Nikolaishvili is in Paris, where he works on issues related to alternative energy.
Nikolaishvili was appointed Energy Minister of Georgia in August 2003, after David Mirtskhulava left this post. Nikolaishvili held this post until late February 2004, when, according to the Constitution of Georgia, along with other members of the government, he resigned after Saakashvili and his team came to power.
Following his resignation Nikolaishvili left for Paris.
As Davit Usupashvili, proposed for the post of parliamentary speaker, told journalists, the final composition of the Georgian government will be introduced by the coalition leader, Bidzina Ivanishvili on Oct.16.
On Oct. 17 new composition should be submitted to Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili. He will present the new Cabinet to the parliament for approval. The first session of the new parliament is scheduled for Oct.21.
