Offsite board meetings devoted to the first nine months of 2012 were held in organisations subordinated to the Azerbaijani Defense Industry Ministry.
The meetings were chaired by Minister Yaver Jamalov. The results of the ministry's activity, production, financial and economic activity of the organisations, as well as the further challenges have been widely discussed, the ministry said today.
Activities envisaged for 2012 upon the power bodies' order were executed during the reporting period. Defence products were produced and given to customers on the basis of the contracts. The operations were continued to expand production of civilian goods.
About 74 per cent of the total volume of products produced in the ministry's bodies during nine months of 2012 fell to defence and special purpose production, 26 per cent to products for civilian use.
The range of defence products reached 700.
About 22 stages were implemented to create defence products. Nine themes were fully completed. The work on other stages is underway.
It was proposed to continue working to show the achievements in this field at the international exhibitions.
The reports of heads of agencies and organizations will be heard at the meeting.
Indonesia will host "Indo Defence 2012" exhibition in November.
The ministry will demonstrate 125 kinds of defense products.
