The international community including the countries supporting President Bashar al-Assad, do no doubt that sooner or later he will leave power and the matter of dispute is the fate of Syria after Assad, Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said in an interview with Anadolu agency on Friday.
He said those "whose hands were not stained with Syrian blood" should govern Syria in the transition period.
Anti-government protests have continued in Syria for more than a year and half. According to the UN, the total number of victims of the conflict in Syria exceeds 60,000.More than 230,000 have become refugees with around three million in need of humanitarian assistance. The Syrian authorities say they oppose the well-armed militants.
