One must not politicize the incident between two people over a car accident which caused mass riots in Azerbaijan's Ismayilli region, Ismayilli executive Nizami Alakbarov told the media today.
"One must not politicize the conflict between the two men involved, which occurred due to a car accident," he said. "This is not a political issue, as some think."
He also stressed that he does not have a relationship with any of the conflict's parties.
He added that from the very beginning he was in the region. The information that he has left it is wrong.
He also stressed that people who insulted residents will be punished.
"They have been detained and will answer before the law," he said.
