The UN and Arab League envoy to Syria, Lakhdar Brahimi, said on Monday that Syria could become worse than Somalia if a peaceful solution is not reached for the "most important crisis that exists in the world today.", reported dpa.
"As I said before, it is either peaceful, consensual, political solution, or the situation will be similar to or even worse than Somalia," he said, after meeting with the EU foreign ministers in Brussels.
"I came to ask them to use whatever means they have to reach a peaceful solution for this case," he said.
