The armed opposition and the Syrian army are involved in fierce fighting in the Syrian cities of Homs and Iblib, Al Jazeera channel said today.
According to the TV channel, at least, 180 people were killed in the military clashes in different cities today. Around 134 of them were civilians.
Anti-government protests have continued in Syria for about two years. According to UN, the total number of victims of the conflict in Syria exceeds 70,000 with around three million in need of humanitarian assistance. The Syrian authorities say they oppose the well-armed militants.
