Iran did not send and does not intend to send military forces to Syria, said on Saturday Iranian Defense Minister Ahmad Vahidi, commenting on the information spread in a number of news websites on sending Iranian troops to Syria, the Iranian news agency ISNA reported.

If Iran did not have policy of peace and good intentions, then the countries supporting the terrorists in Syria would create a sea of blood, said Vahidi.

According to the head of the military department of Iran, the countries that have committed crimes in Iraq and Afghanistan, which support the Zionists in Palestine and Lebanon, have turned this region into a base for military operations, and they have no other purposes but to continue the war in the Middle East.

Western countries, especially the U.S., are going to ignite wars in the region in order to increase the sale of arms and rescue their crisis economy, Vahidi added.

"We urge them to stop showing persistence, terrorism and atrocities. The patience of the people of the region could be exhausted," stressed the minister the Minister of Defence of Iran.
