Researcher at the Institute of Literature of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan Khalida Khalid and her driver Shamhal Huseynov that have been freed in Iran will be transferred to the Azerbaijani Consulate in Tabriz in the next three to four days, an employee of the Iranian embassy in Azerbaijan told the ISNA news agency on conditions of anonymity.
According to them, the transfer is currently underway.
Recall that researcher at the Institute of Literature named after Nizami Ganjavia and scientist-orientalist Khalida Khalid and her assistant Shamhal Huseynov were arrested on April 30 in Tabriz by the employees of the Ministry of Information, Security and Intelligence of Iran, the Iranian media reported earlier.
Azerbaijan has sent two notes to the Iranian Foreign Ministry in connection with the detention of its citizens.
