The Consul General of Kazakhstan Askhat Nuskabay has met with the Prime Minister of Tatarstan Ildar Halikov in Kazan, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan said on Tuesday.
"Ildar Halikov congratulated Kazakh diplomat in connection with the opening of the Consulate General of Kazakhstan and the new appointment," according to a press release.
During the meeting, the parties discussed current status and future directions of bilateral trade and economic cooperation, noting enhancement and increase in mutual visits of official delegations and representatives of the business community, the issues of regional cooperation, and the prospects of the Consulate General of Kazakhstan in Kazan.
The meeting was attended by the representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry in Kazan Radik Vahitov and the Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan Gulnara Akhmadeeva.
