Azerbaijan, Baku, July 29 /Trend, A. Taghiyeva/
High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton calls for a stop to violations in Egypt, "Al Jazeera" TV channel reported on Monday.
According to Ashton, all political parties, including the "Muslim Brotherhood" should participate in the process of political settlement in the country.
On July 3, the Egyptian army ousted Islamist-president Mohamed Morsi from power, suspended constitution and asked the head of the Constitutional Court to act as the country's leadership during a transitional period.
On July 26, Egypt's court made a decision to arrest Morsi for 15 days in light of an ongoing investigation. The court accused Morsi of cooperation with Hamas and escape from prison during the revolution in 2011.
Following the military coup, supporters of former President Mohammed Morsi hold regular protest rallies in the country. According to local media, the army of Egypt says nothing about attacks on the Muslim Brotherhood and other supporters of the former president.
