The demonstrations against the military coup in Egypt will be peaceful, the official representative of the Muslim Brotherhood movement Ahmed Arif said, Anadolu agency reported on Monday.
According to Arif, protests unfolding in support of former President Mohammed Morsi do not harm national unity.
He also added that, despite the fact that the country's army encourages attacks on supporters of Mohammed Morsi, the protests organized by Muslim Brothers will be peaceful.
On July 3, the Egyptian army ousted Islamist-president Mohamed Morsi from power, suspended constitution and asked the head of the Constitutional Court to act as the country head during a transitional period.
On July 26, Egypt's court made a decision to arrest Morsi for 15 days under the ongoing investigation. The court accused Morsi of cooperation with Hamas, as well as, the escape from prison during the revolution in 2011.
Following the military coup, supporters of former President Mohammed Morsi hold regular protest rallies in the country. According to local media, the army of Egypt says nothing about attacks on the Muslim Brotherhood and other supporters of the former president.
