Azerbaijan, Baku, September 2 /Trend, E.Mekhtiyev/
Former Turkish Foreign Minister Hikmet Chetin, who is on a visit to Baku, disapproves of the country's possible military intervention in the Syrian conflict.
Former Foreign Minister noted that the U.S. and Europe are located far from Syria.
"They will conduct operations in this country and then leave it, but Turkey will remain with Syria, therefore Turkey shouldn't intervene in this issue," he said.
Chetin also noted that the UN should make it clear whether chemical weapons were used in Syria or not before attacking this country.
The former foreign minister believes that if the use of chemical weapons in Syria is approved, the whole world will have to take the necessary steps in connection with this issue.
