It is planned to build new checkpoints on the border between Turkey and Georgia, Turkish Customs and Trade Minister Hayati Yazici told Turkey's official newspaper (Resmi Gazete) said on Friday.
According to the Minister, today 2 checkpoints function between Georgia and Turkey and considering the long queues at these checkpoints, it is necessary to create additional crossings.
In the first stage, countries agreed to commission the Muratli checkpoint, and have already begun intensive work on the matter, Yazici said.
