The U.S. became the accomplice of terrorists fighting in Syria. The possible aggression against Syria will be directed to save the terrorists, Syrian Deputy Foreign Minister Faisal Miqdad said in an interview with RT TV channel in Arabic - Rusiya Al-Yaum today.
"There is no Middle East problem for the U.S.," he said. "The U.S is interested in two things in the Middle East - oil and Israel's security."
According to him, the U.S is not a friend of the Arabs.
"The humanitarian norms of international law and human rights have no importance for the U.S," he said.
"If the U.S. wanted to stop the bloodshed and murders in Syria, it would have taken the Syrian government's part and urged its supporters in Turkey or Saudi Arabia to stop assisting "Jabhat an-Nusra", al-Qaeda and other terrorists who come here from all European countries to fight on the side of al-Qaeda," he said.
While speaking about Turkey's role in worsening of the Syrian conflict, he stressed that if it were not for Turkey, then we would not see destruction, murders and bloodshed in Syria.
"Turkey is the main culprit of misfortunes in our country," he stressed. "The extremist government of Muslim Brotherhood in this country, trying to convince everybody of humanity of its actions and commitment to Islam, in fact, has nothing to do with Islam and justice."
The clashes between the government forces and armed opposition have been continuing in Syria for over two years. According to UN statistics, the total number of victims of the conflict in Syria is more than 100,000 people. The Syrian authorities say that they are opposed by well-armed militants.
Some Western countries, as well as Turkey have already supported intervention in Syria following another escalation of the situation there. On August 21, Media outlets reported on a large-scale deployment of chemical weapons near Damascus by Syrian Government Troops. Over 600 people were the victims of the attack.
Earlier, the US president declared that the use of chemical weapon is a "red line" for the Assad regime. Media outlets reported on the preparation of the Navy and Air Force of these countries to begin intervention.
