President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has inspected newly remodeled comprehensive secondary schools №19 and №240 in Nasimi district, Baku on Friday.
The schools were overhauled under a state program for speeding up socio-economic development of Baku and its suburbs.
The Head of State first visited school №19. Baku Mayor Hajibala Abutalibov told the President that the school was built in 1964.
A new 400-seat block was built for the school in 2006. There are now 1417 pupils in the 1600-seat school. The school is provided with state-of-the-art equipment and information and communication technologies.
The President then visited school №240. The Head of State was informed of reconstruction work here.
The 1200-seat school was built in 1967. It was remodeled in 2008 to receive new classrooms.
