President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today visited newly remodeled secondary schools #252 and #80 in Sabunchu district, Baku.
The schools were overhauled under a state program for speeding up socio-economic development of Baku and its suburbs.
The Head of State first visited school #252. Baku Mayor Hajibala Abutalibov informed the President that the first building of the school was constructed in 1972.
There are now 1176 pupils in the 1900-seat school after major overhaul.
President Ilham Aliyev then visited school #80. The Head of State was informed of reconstruction work here.
The first block of the school was constructed in 1969 at the personal initiative of national leader Heydar Aliyev.
The facility is also provided with modern heating system.
The facility currently has 860 seats, and another 600-seats block will be constructed next year to host 1,110 pupils.
