Leader of the Egyptian Justice and Development Party, which is Muslim Brotherhood's political wing Essam el-Erian urged his supporters to resume large-scale demonstrations in major cities of Egypt, Al Jazeera TV channel reported today.
Essam el-Erian urged to hold large-scale demonstrations today and tomorrow in Cairo, Alexandria, Tanta and other cities. He also stressed that the servicemen's power in the country must be overthrown and legitimately elected President Mohamed Morsi must return to power.
Meanwhile, Muslim Brotherhood members are being arrested in Egypt. The arrests began after the overthrow of ex-President Mohamed Morsi as a result of a military coup. Morsi himself, as well as Muslim Brotherhood leaders were thrown in Cairo's jail. He is accused of collaboration with Hamas and escape from prison in 2011.
