In the upcoming presidential election, the Azerbaijani people will make the right decision, chairman of the Milli Mejlis (Parliament) of Azerbaijan Oktay Asadov said during the first meeting of the autumn session of the country's legislature on Monday.
According to him, the autumn session of the Parliament coincides with such a significant event for the country as the presidential election.
"The Azerbaijani people are very wise, and I'm sure they will have a say in the name of their future and choose their president," Asadov said.
The presidential election in Azerbaijan will be held on October 9.
The previous presidential election was held on October 15, 2008.
The presidential election in Azerbaijan is held every five years.
