The Sixth Plenary Session of the Parliamentary Assembly (PA) of the Organisation for Democracy and Economic Development - GUAM is scheduled for December 2-3 in Tbilisi, the organisation's secretariat said on Monday.
The meeting will discuss issues of GUAM cooperation in the legislative arena, as well as relations with partner countries and other international bodies.
GUAM was established by several post-Soviet countries in 1997 during the EU presidential summit in Strasbourg. In 1999, Uzbekistan joined the organisation and left four years later. A decision was made to rename GUAM the Organisation for Democracy and Economic Development - GUAM, at the body's first summit in Kiev in 2006.
Currently Georgia is chairing the GUAM.
