The Lithuanian Presidency of the EU Council is hosting the conference “Enhancement of European International Cooperation and Eastern Partnership in research, development and innovation” (EEP2013) in Vilnius.

The Lithuanian Presidency of the EU Council is hosting the conference "Enhancement of European International Cooperation and Eastern Partnership in research, development and innovation" (EEP2013) in Vilnius, according to the official website of the Lithuanian Presidency of the EU Council, Trend reported.

According to the report, the conference will continue today and tomorrow. The conference focuses on cooperation in RDI at the international level with special emphasis on Eastern Partnership countries in the context of the European Research Area, Innovation Union, Europe 2020 and Eastern Partnership Roadmap initiatives.

The representatives of Azerbaijan, Belarus, Armenia, Georgia, Moldavia and Ukraine will participate at the conference.

According to the Lithuanian Minister of Education and Science Dainius Pavalkis, this conference will contribute to the policy debate on cooperation in research, development and innovation between the European Union and Eastern Partnership countries
