Azerbaijan, Baku, Oct. 17 /Trend Mehdiyev/
The essence of agiotage around Orkhan Zeynalov is obscure, Member of Azerbaijani Parliament, member of the Azerbaijan-Russia working group on inter-parliamentary relations, Aydin Mirzazade told Trend on Thursday.
According to him, the friendly relations between Russia and Azerbaijan are strong.
"This case is an ordinary domestic crime. Lots of such cases happen in Russia, especially in Moscow. The goal of destructing the trade centre, beginning of attacks on migrants, especially on Azerbaijani labour migrants, because of this ordinary case, is unclear," the MP said.
Mirzazade believes that certain political circles of Russia, seeking to spoil the Azerbaijani-Russian relations stand behind these events.
"These forces are hostile to Azerbaijan. Democratic election in Azerbaijan does not correspond to their interests and by doing so they try to put Azerbaijan in its place. But a very rough scenario of these events is obvious," Mirzazade said.
According to the MP, the offender in handcuffs appeared in the presence of the Interior Minister for the first time in the Russian history. The process has been demonstrated all over the country.
"This was carried out in such a way as if Zeynalov is the head of a drug cartel or a major culprit," Mirzazade said. "I believe that such cheap performances do not correspond to the interests of Russia and Azerbaijan."
According to him, unfortunately, the Russian legal system has acted differently instead of quietly solving the problem.
"Excessive physical force was used while detaining Orkhan Zeynalov," he added. "He was beaten and this was recorded by cameras. He was not provided with a lawyer. He was named as a culprit without a court order. The most important thing is that Azerbaijanis living in Russia and migrant workers were attacked after this process. Of course, this was an organized action as if it was necessary for any Azerbaijani person to commit a crime and the timely trained individuals to start operating."
In his opinion, perhaps, someone in Russia wants the relations between the two countries to deteriorate, but this is not in the interests of Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan will not do this.
Mirzazade expressed hope that the anti-Azerbaijani sentiments will be overcome.
It should be recalled that a 25-year-old citizen of Moscow, Yegor Shcherbakov, was killed in the Biryulevo district of the Russian capital on October 10. He was stabbed with a knife and later died. On October 15, the police detained a 30-year-old Azerbaijani citizen Zeynalov in the Moscow vicinity on suspicion of the murder and brought him to the capital for investigation.
