Tbilisi, Georgia, Dec. 13
By Nana Kirtzkhalia - Trend:

Georgian and Lithuanian Foreign Ministers Maia Panjikidze and Linas Linkevičius signed a protocol on Georgia's involvement in EU programs in Brussels.

Signing of the protocol is another significant step towards rapprochement with the EU, the Georgian Foreign Ministry said.

Linkevičius said that the EU offered Georgia programs in the fields of public health, culture, scientific research and in support of small and medium enterprises.

"Georgia can participate in EU internal programs in accordance with the protocol," Linkevičius said.

Pandzhikidze started her visit to Brussels, where the 14th plenary meeting of the Georgia-EU Cooperation Council was held.

The Georgia-EU Cooperation Council meetings are held once a year as part of the political dialogue between the EU and Georgia.
