The Council of the European Union has adopted a decision on the signing of an agreement between the EU and Azerbaijan on the readmission of persons who do not have permission to stay (reside) in EU countries, according to a message posted on the EU website.
The decision was adopted at a meeting of the EU Council held in Brussels.
Azerbaijan and the EU earlier signed a visa facilitation agreement. The document will take effect after the signing of the readmission agreement.
