Ukraine's parliament has voted for handing over presidential powers to a parliamentary speaker, ITAR-TASS reported.
Two hundred and eighty-five parliamentarians supported this decision.
This decree proved necessary, as "we have nobody to sign decrees we are adopting," deputy parliamentary speaker Ruslan Koshulinsky said on Sunday.
One of the leaders of Batkivshchina (Fatherland) party, Alexander Turchinov, was appointed a new parliamentary speaker.
