Azerbaijan and Botswana determined the economy, energy and humanitarian spheres as priorities of cooperation. This was discussed at the meeting of the Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov and Botswana's Foreign Minister Pandu Skelemani, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said on Feb.26.

The Azerbaijani foreign minister briefed his counterpart about the country's economy, large regional projects that are being implemented and the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

Mammadyarov invited his colleague to visit Azerbaijan.

Highlighting the importance of the Azerbaijani foreign minister to Botswana in terms of development of relations between the two countries, Skelemani proposed to organize mutual visits at other levels too.

The visit of the Azerbaijani Foreign Minister to Botswana took place as part of the tour to some African countries.
