By Ilkin Izzet - Trend:

Armenian citizen, detained on March 7 in Azerbaijan, is Khojayan Arsen Ananyayevic, born 1991, a resident of Verin Karmiraghbyur village of Berd district of Armenia's Tavush region, secretary of Azerbaijani State Commission on Prisoners of War, Hostages and Missing Persons, Shahin Sailov told Trend on March 8.

Sailov said that according to the detainee he got on Azerbaijan's territory by accident when he was searching his sheep flock.

Currently, an investigation is underway into the incident, Sailov said.

Khojayan Arsen was detained near a railway in Azerbaijan's Tovuz region.

Presumably, he is a relative of Khojayan Mamiko Tigranovich, who was detained on January 28 in Tovuz region and returned to Armenia on March 4.

Currently, the representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) are working to meet with the detainee.
