On March 15 Iranian gas station owners threatened to shut down the capital's stations till night if their economic problems are not solved.

A large number of gas station owners gathered in front on the National Iranian Oil Products Distribution Company's headquarters on Mar. 15.

However, the Oil Ministry announced that no gas station will be shut down.

The ministry also added that the commission on the sales of gasoline will be increased by 25 percent in the next calendar year (to start on March 21).

The commission on the sales of gasoline will reach 350 rials per liter in Tehran, and 290 rials per liter in other major cities.

The commission on the sales of gasoline in small cities will be 250 rials per liter.

The commission on the sales of kerosene, diesel oil, and liquid gas will be 75, 100, and 300 rials, respectively.
