By Rufiz Hafizoglu - Trend:

If the Turkish authorities accept the Constitutional Court's decision about unblocking Twitter in the country, it does not mean that they respect the decision, Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan told media on April 4, Turkish channel TRT Haber reported.

"Before the Constitutional Court's decision, the case on unblocking Twitter in the country should have been considered by the court of the first instance.

The Turkish Ministry of Transport and Communications reported on April 3 that currently the country has restored Twitter.

The Turkish Constitutional Court considered the appeals about closing Twitter and regarded this as a violation of users' freedom of expression. It made a decision to lift the ban on Twitter.
Turkey blocked Twitter upon the court decision on March 21. This occurred a few hours after Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan made a statement about such a possibility.
