No change occurs in Iranian- Azerbaijani boundaries

Baku, Azerbaijan, April 9
By Temkin Jafarov - Trend:

No changes in the Iranian- Azerbaijani borders have happened, and not any land from the territories of the two countries joined to the territory of another country, says Iranian Border Police.

The only change is the definition of the boundary line on the new bridge which opened at Julfa border checkpoint, according to the deputy head of the Department of International Relations of the Iranian Border Police, Commander General Hasan Momini.

Commander of the Iranian Border Police Hussein Zulfugari said earlier that there was disputed territory of the bridge at the Julfa border checkpoint in Nakhchivan, and as a result of discussions a solution was made.

The determination of the boundary line on the new bridge which opened at the Julfa border checkpoint was implemented in accordance with the joint protocol, and a new bridge was commissioned on February 12, Momini said.
