Former chairman of the State Committee for Work with Religious Organizations Elshad Iskandarov was appointed head of the department of the Azerbaijani foreign ministry, a diplomatic source told Trend on June 9.
Iskandarov was dismissed in accordance with President Aliyev's decree on May 2. A few days after this appointment, he was elected Secretary General of Islamic Conference Youth Forum for Dialogue and Cooperation.
