Holding "Rose-Roth" workshop of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly in Baku was highly appreciated by the management of the assembly, the first vice speaker of the Azerbaijani Parliament Ziyafat Asgarov said at a special session of parliament on June 20.
"Azerbaijan's main purpose at the workshop was thorough discussion of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict," he said. "This was discussed."
Asgarov added that one of the issues discussed at the workshop was the settlement of conflicts in the world today, based on international law.
"We have seen once again that the existing international law is in deep crisis," he said.
"That is why today, each country must rely only on itself," he said. "We must strengthen our country. Uniting around the president, we must strive to solve our problems."
