President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has reviewed the progress of construction at the Baku Olympic Stadium.
The president was informed that the 70,000-seat stadium would be built in a modern architectural style. The stadium, to be built to international standards, will have stands with different functions, running tracks and other infrastructure.
The facility will consist of the main and auxiliary stadiums, an auxiliary building, as well as VIP and CIP sections, as well as sections for the media and disabled spectators.
The president then reviewed the environmental project around Lake Boyukshor and adjacent areas.
The president also reviewed the construction of the Hasan Aliyev Street-Ziya Bunyadov Avenue-Olympic Stadium highway. President Aliyev was informed of the construction of road junctions and pedestrian crossings on a M4 18km Bilgah-Novkhani-Shamakhi highway.
