Over 500 candidates from Great Creation Party to participate in Azerbaijani municipal elections

The Great Creation Party approved more than 500 candidates for municipal elections in Azerbaijan, chairman of the party Fazil Gazanfaroglu told Trend News on October 26.

He said that the party held the meeting on October 25. Besides his appointment chairman, participation of the party in elections was also discussed. "At present, the party seriously prepares for these elections," Gazanfaroglu said.

Azerbaijani municipal elections are scheduled for December 23. Municipal elections were held twice in 1999 and 2004.

About 15,682 members were elected to 1,718 municipalities.
