Azerbaijani CEC can liquidate one electoral commission's results of municipal elections

The Azerbaijani Central Electoral Commission (CEC) can liquidate results of the municipal elections of Naftalan-Geranboy Electoral Commission No96.

The CEC revealed a fact of interference of Naftalan executive power head in the electoral process during the municipal elections. The commission considers reasonable to liquidate results of the elections of this electoral commission, the CEC member, the expert group head Tofiq Hasanov said at a meeting today.  

He said the CEC considered appeals about interference of Naftalan region executive power head Musa Musayev in the electoral process. Observers' complaints in this electoral commission are confirmed.

The CEC received over 16 appeals on interference of Naftalan executive power head in the elections.

The municipal elections were held in Azerbaijan on Dec. 23. About 31.86 percent of voters participated in them.
