Interpol arrests Russian citizen in Japan wanted in Azerbaijan

A Russian citizen wanted in Azerbaijan was arrested in Japan.

As a result of operational activities undertaken by the National Central Bureau (NCB) of Interpol in Azerbaijan wanted Russian citizen Mahmud Aliyev was arrested in the Japanese city of Niigata, the Azerbaijani Interior Ministry told Trend News on Oct.21. At present the relevant agencies are taking measures to extradite Aliyev.

Aliyev was wanted under the Article 120 (premeditated murder) and 228 (illegal possession of firearms) of the Azerbaijani Criminal Code.
