Baku police arrest cheater

Azerbaijan, Baku, Oct. 27 /Trend News, H.Bagirov/

The Baku police arrested a person committing fraud against the citizens of Turkey.


A 21-year-old Elmir Dilbazi, a resident of the Gakh region, received $5,850 and 2,000 manat from Turkish citizens, Beihan Tayfun and Arif Klandan, respectively in 2008. Taking money under the pretext of their visa, he misappropriated this amount, the Police Department No. 27 of the Yasamal District Police Office in Baku told Trend News.


After the victims' appeal to the police, Dilbazi was arrested as a result of operational search activities.


The criminal case is under investigation.
