Employees of Azerbaijani law-enforcement bodies confiscated illegal religious literature.

Local police and the National Security Ministry confiscated religious books in the Balaken region. In total the law enforcement officers seized 27 illegal books, 14 CDs, two video cassettes and six religious papers. The materials were found in the home of local resident Bahadur Muradov on R. The import and distribution of 59 books propagandizing religious intolerance were prevented in 2008.

An analysis of statistics from previous years shows that less harmful religious literature is being imported and distributed in the country, State Committee on Work with Religious Organizations told Trend News.
