The Azerbaijani Military Prosecutor Office issued formal information on the armed incident in one of the Azerbaijani military units.

The criminal case was launched under Articles 120.2.1 (deliberate murder committed by a group of individuals, group of persons by prior conspiracy, an organized group or criminal association (criminal organization), 120.2.3 (deliberate murder of the victim or his relatives in connection with the implementation of this person performance or the performance of public debt) and 120.2.7 (deliberate murder of two or more persons), the report says.

The agency established investigative team headed by the Deputy Military Prosecutor Shafahat Imanov, who is investigates the fact at the scene.

Jan.28, two soldiers shot deadly four military and injured the other two in one of the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry's Military Unit No. N, Republic's Ministry of Defense told Trend News.  According to defense officials, the soldiers shot themselves after the crime.

The case is under investigation. The public will be informed about the incident.

The soldiers killed officers by submachine gun entering the room where they were, a military source told Trend News. One of the dead officers was a division commander.

The soldiers who opened fire were shot while trying to run.

Deputy defense minister Chingiz Mammadov and other officials have visited the military unit.
