As a result of the investigative and operational activities in connection with an armed incident in the Azerbaijani Military Unit No.N in the Dashkesan region, which resulted in the death of soldiers and officers, the relevant agencies brought a charge against military officers - deputy artillery division commander, Major Valad Gurbanov and platoon commander Lieutenant Rustam Ahmedov. The Azerbaijani Military Court take decision on restraint in the form of arrest towards these militaries, Azerbaijani Prosecutor Zakir Garalov said in an interview with the AzerTaj state news agency.
These persons are accused of giving soldiers a weapon for cleaning and left them unattended, created the conditions to leave the territory of the division and abuse of power in the performance of military service, Garalov said.

The president tasked to investigate the incident and upon his order senior officials from ministries of national security, defense and military prosecutors have been sent to the scene.
The Military Prosecutor Office launched a criminal case on the incident. The investigation group of the members of the military prosecutor's office and the National Security Ministry' Intelligence Service is investigating the incident, he said.
The Azerbaijani Prosecutor General's Office declares that coverage of the incident not in accordance with objective realities is unacceptable and aimed at misleading public opinion.
