Special representative of UN Secretary-General to visit Kazakhstan

Special Representative of UN Secretary-General, head of UN Regional Center for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia, Miroslav Jenca, will visit Kazakhstan on August 27-28, official representative of the department, Yerzhan Ashykbayev, said at a briefing in the Kazakh foreign ministry.


The issues concerning water and energy problems, the fight against terrorism and extremism, development of the situation in Central Asia, Kazakhstan's chairmanship in the OSCE, as well as cooperation between Kazakhstan and the UN Regional Center on urgent issues of regional security are planned to be discussed at a meeting.
