![]() Turkmenistan, Ashgabat, Oct. 10 / Trend News H.Hasanov / Recently the suggestions of Tajikistan and the Central Asian region on the rational use of water and energy resources were the subject to misunderstandings and misperceptions, Tajik President Emomali Rahmon said, during his two-day visit to Turkmenistan. On Oct.10, the national Altin Asyr TV channel broadcasted Rahmon's meeting with Turkmen President Gurbangulu Berdimuhammedov. The Tajik government's measures taken on the construction of hydropower facilities, primarily aimed at the solution of water and energy problems of the region, ecological problems of the Aral Sea and the mobilization of resources to achieve sustainable development in the Central Asia, Rahmon added. The president also mentioned that when implementing its hydroelectric projects, Tajikistan is based on a policy of openness and full consideration of the interests of the neighboring states.
