As part of his visit to Qatar, the President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili will hold a number of official meetings today and meet with the Qatari Emir in his palace.

The topics that both sides are going to discuss for future partnership are real estate and baking sector, agriculture and energy. Qatar displays an interest in investing in Georgia

During the negotiations, the sides will also discuss double taxation matter.

Furthermore, they will sign an agreement on simplification of the visa regime between Qatar and Georgia. In the first stage, it will concern those who have diplomatic passports.

The visit of the Georgian President and delegation will last for three days. The delegation will hold meetings with the Qatari government, and also with business people. During the meeting, the Georgian side will familiarize Qatari businessmen with investment spheres in Georgia.
