Tsotne Gamsakhurdia who is in a preliminary two-month detention  was transferred to a medical facility for prisoners on November 27 in order to get the medical examination, the Ministry of Corrections, probation and legal aid announced.

According to the ministry, like all other prisoners, Tsotne Gamsakhurdia is under constant surveillance by medical personnel.

The son of Georgia's first president, accused of trying to premeditated murder and illegal possession and carrying of firearms, considering himself innocent, declared a hunger strike and held it for more than 20 days.
