Parliament of Turkmenistan at the regular hearing ratified an agreement between the governments of Turkmenistan and Belarus on military and military technical cooperation.
In January 2010 Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhammadov paid his first official visit to Minsk, during which a package of intergovernmental agreements in the political, economic and cultural spheres was signed.
In addition to military cooperation, the two countries are exploring the prospects of implementation of projects to create a modern road and transport infrastructure, production and supply of modern construction equipments.
Belarus exports to Turkmenistan faring machines and implements a large-scale project on construction of the mining enterprise in the Lebap region.
