Memory of First Woman Arab Literature Researcher in World Honored in Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan, Baku, 20 September / Trend corr. J.Babayeva /The memory of Prof. Aida Imanguliyeva, first woman -Arab literature researcher in the world and Doctor of Philological Science, was honored in Baku, Azerbaijan.

Imanguliyeva represented the Azerbaijani oriental studies abroad (Moscow, Kiev, Poltava, St.Petersburg, Hamburg and others). Imanguliyeva was the member of the All-Union Orientalist Community Presidium and All-Union Coordination Council on East Literature Research. Over the time Imanguliyeva read out lecture about the Arab philology in the Baku State University. Imanguliyeva made a huge contribution into training of high qualified staffs. 

Aida Imanguliyeva died on 19 September 1992.

Representatives from the Oriental Studies Institute attached to the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan (NASA), Education Ministry and State Committee on Families, Women and Children Problems visited Imanguliyeva’s monument. MP Govhar Bakhshaliyeva, Rector of the Oriental Studies Institute, Hijran Huseynova, Chairman of the State Committee on Families, Women and Children Problems, and Irada Huseynova, Deputy Education Minister, spoke about the contribution by Imanguliyeva into the Arab literature research.
