Azerbaijani State Students Admission Commission announced the second tour of entrance exams on August 7.
"Choice of vacant specialties will be held from August 7-11. List of vacant positions is published in the seventh Enrollee journal", chairman of the Azerbaijani State Students Admission Commission, Maleyka Abbaszadeh, said on August 7.
Number of vacant positions hits 1,554 in universities. "There are 993 vacant positions on the first group of specialties, 914 - on the second group, 2,073 - on the third group and 1,201 - on the fourth group, chairman of the commission said.
Admission plan was fulfilled for 94.65 percent in Azerbaijani universities over 2009/2010. Roughly 27,476 enrollees were admitted for 29,030 plan positions.
Enrollees willing to participate in the second tour of entrance exams can choose up to 12 codes of specialties, Abbaszadeh said. "Enrollees can also choose codes of specialties of technical schools. List of specialties of technical schools was published in the fifth Enrollee journal," she said.
Abbaszadeh said that results of the second tour of entrance exams will be announced on August 13. "Passing points of the second tour of exams will not be reduced," she said.
