A book about Azerbaijan has been published in Turkey. "A booklet for tourists was issued in one of Turkey's tourist centers, Alanya. The booklet was issued in Turkish, English, Russian, German and French, and provided reliable information about Azerbaijan", Chairman of the Parliamentary Journalists Association, Elshad Eyvazli, told Trend on Aug.28.
According Eyvazli, the hardships which faced Azerbaijan, the first democratic republic in the East, were included in the booklet.
"The booklet tells the story of Azerbaijan's independence, first gained in 1918, the repressions of its independence by the Soviet empire, the restoration of the country's independence in 1991 and the occupation of 20 percent of Azerbaijani territory by neighboring Armenia, along with the murders of children, women, and the elderly," Eyvazli said.
The booklet is being distributed in the most crowded places, the tourist centers of Alanya and Antalya. The booklet is also being distributed among tourists in hotels, with the assistance of the Society of Alanya newsmen.
The booklet was prepared by plans from the Parliamentary Journalists Association and published with the support of the Society of Alanya newsmen and MPs, Chingiz Asadullayev and Akram Abdullayev.
