An Azerbaijani chess player has drawn a game with his Chinese counterpart.
Teymur Rajabov has drawn a game with a high-rating Chinese Chess Player Wang Yue at the sixth round of the double round robin super tournament in the Chinese city of Nanjing, the Azerbaijan Chess Federation told Trend on Oct. 5.
During other games, the Bulgarian Veselin Topalov defeated Russian Dmitry Yakovenko, Hungarian grandmaster Peter Leko drew the game with the representative of Norway, Magnus Carlsen.
After six rounds, Carlsen scored five points, Wang Yue and Topalov - three, Leko and Rajabov - 2.5, and Yakovenko - 2.
At the seventh round of the tournament, Rajabov - Leko, Wang Yue - Yakovenko, Topalov - Carlsen will meet.
The total prize of the tournament is €250,000. The tournament winner will receive a prize worth €80,000.
