Azerbaijan, Baku, Nov. 6 / Trend D.Khatinoglu /
All radical movements in the name of Islam are the fruits of "U.S. imperialism," an Iranian presidential adviser said today. Haji Ali-Akber Mohammed Javad called Jundallah in Iran's Sistan and Baluchistan provinces, and the Taliban and al-Qaeda, a result of U.S. foreign policy.
Extremism has no relation to Islam, Javad told Trend . The adviser is on a visit to Azerbaijan to attend the birthday celebrations of Caucasus Muslims Board Chairman Sheikh-ul-Islam Haji Allahshukur Pashazade.
"Extremist groups are created in accordance with the interests of certain political forces and there is no doubt that the U.S stands behind them," he said.
According to Javad, the extremist forces are a problem for the U.S. and its allies.
An act of terror in the Iranian Baluchistan province Oct. 18 killed 41 Iranian citizens, including two generals of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps. Jundallah claimed responsibility for the attack. Jundallah demands that the government protect the rights of Sunni Baluch people. Iran accuses the organization of terrorism.
"We know Washington is involved in this act of terror in the Iranian Baluchistan province," he said.
